Malissa Kuznicki started her professional life as a mechanical designer and worked in both the automotive and aerospace industries before pursuing her art degree. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo with a concentration in digital art. Her process embraces an interdisciplinary approach utilizing sculptural processes, traditional metalsmithing techniques as well as emerging technologies such as 3d printing and laser cutting. Malissa also enjoys working with a variety of media including metal, glass, plastic, cement, rubber, and silicone. While the majority of her work is worn on or interacts with the body she also creates work involving installation and performance.
